Accept it, just as it sounds, without inquiring into it. Perhaps it will turn out that you are called to be an artist. Then take that destiny upon yourself and bear it, its burden and its greatness, without ever asking what recompense might come from outside".
~ Rainer Maria Rilketracehttp://traceimages.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9493601.post-53740784959777036172007-09-06T00:57:00.000-05:002007-09-06T00:57:00.000-05:00Hey Andrew!Nice stuff you got, very interesting pi...Hey Andrew!

Nice stuff you got, very interesting pics.
Well, I do have also in my sleeves, if you have time don't forget to visit

photosorcery.com

Many thanksAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9493601.post-11446434971346241752007-09-04T16:27:00.000-05:002007-09-04T16:27:00.000-05:00I should say that much of these guides are not jus...I should say that much of these guides are not just for the pursuit of art, but for the pursuit (and enjoyment) of one's life. Your ideas are far-reaching, indeed.

To maintain your order and paraphrase in terms of life's lessons and guides, we could have:

1. Live everyday to your fullest. Your life is something you make and do everyday. (How you live is what you become.)

2. Dismiss unfair criticisms of others and see yourself as you want to be seen. No one knows more about you than you.

3. Do not let the criticisms of others dampen your dreams.

3a. (Corollary: Encourage others in their dreams, as you did with this lovely postings.)

4. Learn how you want to live and live that way.

5. What you like in others make part of yourself.

6. Be true to yourself and follow your instincts.

So, you see, what you (Andy) describe for the sake of art, is really more. Your beautiful few rules can apply far more broadly and deeply to people beyond artists.

Finally, I suspect others will pick-up on your ideas and we shall see your ideas copied elsewhere as advice for a far broader audience.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02236449128797878326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9493601.post-83983904940849960212007-08-31T01:59:00.000-05:002007-08-31T01:59:00.000-05:00You've certainly earned the right to publish your ...You've certainly earned the right to publish your own book(s); masterful work and masterful wisdom.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9493601.post-90116208568043632982007-08-27T23:21:00.000-05:002007-08-27T23:21:00.000-05:00I enjoyed reading your post. I spent so many years frustrated, trying to figure out the why's of an image...why am I drawn to this...what does it mean...will other people get what I'm trying to say...what AM I trying to say?! :) As artists, we just have to follow our gut and just go with ideas as they come.

PS - I found you through http://www.flaneusenotes.blogspot.com.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9493601.post-85076839068157013102007-08-27T11:41:00.000-05:002007-08-27T11:41:00.000-05:00Such a thoughtful post that I just had to let you ...Such a thoughtful post that I just had to let you know that I truly enjoyed reading it.
